On board the Anvera

The Anvera is built around one long open deck. At the stern are three wide sun loungers and terraces that fold down to open the deck out over the water. Midship, a dining table and bench seating sit in the shade of the hardtop, with speakers built into the seating.

Forward of the helm, a sunpad covers the bow. Below deck is a bright white cabin with a wraparound lounge and a sofa: a place to get out of the sun without leaving the party.

   Meet your captain and crew at 668 NW N River Dr on the Miami River, about 10 minutes from Brickell and 15 minutes from Miami Beach. Welcome aboard, a short safety briefing, music on.

2. 0:15Down the river into the bay

   Under the bridges and past the Brickell towers into Biscayne Bay. The skyline opens up behind you.

3. 1:00The islands loop

   Loop Star Island, Palm and Hibiscus Islands and run down past Fisher Island with the skyline behind you.

4. 1:45Anchor and swim

   Fold the terraces down at anchor and the deck opens out over the water. Nixon's Sandbar off Key Biscayne is the classic stop; your captain picks the spot for the day's wind and tide.

5. 3:15The slow ride home

   Back along the skyline with the city lighting up. Book the late slot and this leg is your sunset cruise.
